Exhibition Announcement!
Design for the Common Good International Exhibition Travels!
Design for the Common Good Network is excited to announce our traveling exhibition! The Design for the Common Good International Exhibition asserts the value of public interest design, a practice that envisions a community-centered approach in the design of buildings, environments, products, and systems. It is a practice that champions growing knowledge, evolving processes, and activating participation while tackling complex issues. The direct involvement of communities, stakeholders, designers, as well as educators and their students is the heart of this work. Through this lens, the Design for Common Good International Exhibition parent exhibition currently showcases projects from six continents and twenty-two countries curated from a selection of network-nominated work. As the exhibition travels, new peer reviewed and/or invited projects are added to the collection amplifying reach and depth in public interest practices.
Design for the Common Good is thrilled to collaborate with Metropolitan State University of Denver and Budapest Metropolitan University Faculty of Art and Creative Industries as organizational partners in the upcoming October 2023 exhibition.
